Fall Formal 2017

A Kaiserby Alyssa Kaiser, Class of 2019

Every year, the Law School’s Student Bar Association hosts a Fall Formal event where all of the students are invited out for a night of fun, and most importantly, have a chance to get away from the library. Students meet other students from different class levels while dressing up for the night.

Serving as Vice President of the Student Bar Association, I am fortunate to be responsible for organizing a majority of events put on by our organization, including Fall Formal. For me, much of the fun comes from the planning and the people that come together to make the event a success. Luckily, everyone involved in the Student Bar Association likes to help out and make a part of the project their own!

In the week leading up to the event, members of the Student Bar Association sell tickets, chose decorations, order and pick up food for the event, make Snapchat filters, and much more. Needless to say, hosting a school-wide event is not an easy task. However, it is the teamwork that truly makes it possible, and we all have fun doing it. It is nice to know that our hard work provides a night for students to enjoy themselves and dance the night away!

During the event, I found myself distracted with different concerns most of the night and wanted to make sure that everything went smoothly (that is just my worrying nature). The students looked lovely, and I am already looking forward to the Student Bar Association’s other big formal event, the Barristers’ Ball, in the Spring!
